Fire Risk Assessments

A fire risk assessment is the starting point for fire safety in any workplace, and for most premises it is a legal requirement. It identifies what could cause a fire, who is at risk and what needs to be done to reduce that risk, including what protection systems are appropriate. MEP Fire carries out fire risk assessments that give you a clear, practical understanding of your risks and the measures needed to control them.

What a fire risk assessment covers

A fire risk assessment systematically examines your premises: identifying fire hazards and sources of ignition and fuel, establishing who could be harmed, and evaluating how well existing measures control the risk. It then sets out clear, prioritised recommendations, which may include improvements to detection, suppression, escape routes or passive protection. Because we understand fire protection systems in depth, our assessments translate directly into sound advice on the systems that will actually address the risks found.
